FontViewer is an open source (GPL) utility written in Java that shows how text will be rendered on screen with a TrueType font specified by the user.
Users can type their own text and change its attributes (size and style) and change background and foreground colours.
Fonts can be selected after specifing a font path in the font paths tree (right click for popup menu).

Launch the application using Java Web Start
